What belongs on a one-page website?
The page introduces the business, explains the main service and helps someone decide whether to enquire. That can include a short about section, approved images, coverage information, common questions and contact details. The order follows what a new customer needs to understand.
There is no benefit in squeezing every possible feature into a single page. We agree the essentials and keep the wording readable. A focused site should be straightforward to use on a phone as well as a larger screen, with clear section headings and useful contact options.
Who a focused Starter website suits
A one-page website can suit a sole trader with one main service, a new business establishing its online presence or an existing business that needs a concise introduction. The important question is whether the customer can understand the offer without separate explanations.
For example, a straightforward local service may need its scope, coverage, working process and enquiry details together. A business with several substantial service lines may need more room. We discuss that before recommending the package rather than assume every startup needs the smallest option.
One-page website prices and inclusions
Starter costs £99 setup plus £39 per month. The minimum term is twelve months from launch, giving a first-year total of £567 at the published rates. Hosting, HTTPS and up to fifteen minutes of suitable small content edits per month are included.
The quote confirms the agreed sections, content responsibilities, tax treatment and any outside costs. Domain registration, email mailboxes and external subscriptions may have separate charges. A small website should still have a clear scope and an understandable total price. Read the complete website package comparison before deciding.
The monthly allowance can cover suitable changes to existing text or photos. It does not roll over and does not cover an unlimited stream of new sections or functionality. New pages, booking integrations and larger design changes need a separate quote.
Plan the words before filling the layout
Start with the main service and the questions customers ask before contacting you. What is included? Where is it available? What information is needed for a quote? Which facts give the customer confidence? These questions help decide what belongs on the first page.
You provide accurate business details, approved content and images you have permission to use. Starter content is kept to the focused scope. If more substantial copy assistance or separate service pages are needed, Business may be the more suitable arrangement. We clarify that in the brief.
How the page is designed and built
We agree the offer, sections and contact route, then build a private preview around them. The design uses the approved brand information and a clear reading sequence. The purpose is to make the business understandable, rather than place lots of unrelated blocks on a long scrolling page.
You check the services, wording, images and contact details. Before launch, we review mobile layouts, links and the actual enquiry behaviour. If you already have a domain or business email, we identify the services that must remain in place during the changeover.
Search visibility and the limits of one page
The page includes a descriptive title, a clear H1, useful section headings and crawlable text. Appropriate structured information helps describe the business and service. Those are foundations for search visibility; a one-page website is not a shortcut to a guaranteed position.
When a business needs to explain several different services in depth, separate pages can give each a clearer purpose. A single page cannot be expected to answer every service and area query equally well. Read our one-page versus multi-page website comparison for the practical trade-offs.
What if the website needs to grow?
We can discuss extra pages once the need is clear. That might mean giving a developed service its own explanation, adding a useful price page or introducing a larger set of approved work examples. The additional scope is quoted before the work begins.
Business includes up to five agreed pages and help shaping copy from your brief. If you already know that separate service information is needed, compare small business website design before choosing Starter. If an old site needs replacing, website redesign covers the content and changeover questions.
One-page websites in Eastleigh and Hampshire
We provide the same Starter offer across our service area, including Southampton, Romsey and Winchester. Our main website design Eastleigh page gives an overview of the wider service.
Call 023 8001 5827 or send a Starter website enquiry with the business name, main service and working area. We can then discuss whether one focused page is enough and confirm the actual work in a written quote.
