What a pay-monthly website actually includes
Pay-monthly website design combines the work of creating the site with an ongoing arrangement for hosting and care. It is useful when you want a professional business website without organising a separate build, hosting account and developer for every small update.
Our plans include a setup payment. They are not advertised as free websites or zero-upfront offers. The written quote confirms the pages, content responsibilities, total payable and any additional services before you decide. That makes the arrangement easier to compare with other ways of commissioning a site.
The monthly cost covers hosting, HTTPS and the agreed allowance for suitable small edits. It does not mean unlimited development, unlimited new pages or an ongoing SEO campaign. We keep those boundaries clear so you know which requests fit the plan and which need a separate quote.
Choose the size that fits the offer
Starter provides a focused one-page website. It suits a straightforward service that can be explained through a clear introduction, service sections, useful answers and a contact route. It costs £99 setup plus £39 per month, with up to fifteen minutes of small edits each month.
Business provides up to five agreed pages, with help shaping copy from your brief and up to thirty minutes of small edits a month. It costs £199 setup plus £59 per month. Separate pages give distinct services or important buying questions more room, rather than squeezing everything into one long introduction.
For a larger site, shop or specialist integration, the work is scoped separately. The published package is a useful starting point, not a promise that any feature can be added for the same monthly fee. Compare website packages and the full cost, or explore one-page website design if the focused option sounds right.
Know the first-year cost before starting
Starter totals £567 in the first year: £99 setup plus twelve payments of £39. Business totals £907: £199 setup plus twelve payments of £59. Both have a twelve-month minimum from go-live, after which the plan continues monthly.
The quote confirms any applicable taxes and outside costs. Domains, email mailboxes, premium assets and external subscriptions may need separate payment. We identify those requirements while planning rather than hide them behind a low monthly headline. An existing domain and email setup are also considered before a website changeover.
How the build and launch work
Start with the business name, your main services, the places you cover and what you want visitors to do. Add any existing website, logo and photographs you can publish. You do not need a finished website brief to begin; the first conversation establishes the actual requirements.
We agree the scope and price, then plan the page structure and design. A private preview gives you a chance to check the wording, images and contact information before launch. Business facts and claims need your approval, including qualifications, service boundaries and published prices.
Before connecting the domain, we check the mobile layout, important links and chosen enquiry route. If you are replacing an existing website, useful old addresses and any necessary redirects need a changeover plan. Read how website redesign is organised before arranging a move.
What ongoing care means in practice
A replacement photograph, revised opening hours or a short change to an existing service description may fit the edit allowance. Send the approved material and explain what needs changing. We assess the request against the available allowance and agreed scope.
The allowance does not roll over. A new page, larger design change or additional functionality is a different piece of work. We quote those additions separately so your regular payment remains understandable and future improvements have a clear brief.
Domain, ownership and handover questions
Your domain stays registered in your name. After the minimum term is completed and outstanding charges are settled, custom site files can be provided on request. External images, fonts and other licensed services retain their own conditions. Handover and exit arrangements are confirmed in the agreement before work begins.
If you compare suppliers, ask the same questions of each: what is the minimum commitment, what happens after it, what can be handed over and which ongoing costs remain? Our pay-monthly versus upfront comparison sets out those decisions without assuming one payment model suits every business.
Who this monthly website service suits
The arrangement can suit a sole trader, startup or established small business that wants the build and routine care organised together. It is less suitable if you need a large custom application within a standard package, or want an unlimited development team for a fixed small monthly fee.
We work across Eastleigh and nearby Hampshire, including Southampton, Romsey and Winchester. Our main website design Eastleigh page introduces the service; business website design explains the build in more detail. Call 023 8001 5827 or send a short website enquiry to discuss the right scope.
